Our experienced GPs conduct thorough medical examinations to ensure you meet the health standards required for professional driving. All examinations are conducted at our Harley Street clinic (104 Harley St, London W1G 7JD, UK) with immediate certification.

You Must Bring The Following Documents:

  • Valid ID: Driving License or Passport
  • TPH/204 Form (download link below)
  • FULL Medical Record Notes from your NHS GP (summary print outs will NOT be accepted)
  • Recent Eye Test: Consultation with an optician required
  • Current Medications: List of all medications you take with doses
  • Note: If you cannot provide these documents, this will be documented in the declaration section of the form

What to Expect at Your PCO Medical Examination

Upon arrival for your PCO/Taxi medical, you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire about your medical history. You will also be asked to provide your driving licence. One of our doctors will carry out a full medical assessment and ask questions about your medical history and any current medical conditions. If you have any medical conditions, the doctor will need to assess how these could affect your driving.

Medical Conditions That Could Affect Your Application:

Insulin treated diabetes - The doctor will check that your blood sugar levels are well controlled

Epilepsy - Assessment of seizure control and medication compliance

Poor Vision - Visual acuity and field testing required

History of severe mental health problems (including drug or alcohol abuse)

Heart problems - Cardiovascular assessment and fitness evaluation

Neurological or neurosurgical disorders (strokes, blackouts, head injuries)

Certain treatment plan medications - Review of current medications and their effects on driving ability
